`Runners Prepare to Host 4-Straight Over 2 Weeks

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – After dominating a pair of neutral-site victories last week, the Cal State Bakersfield beach volleyball has returned home to host opponents on back-to-back weekends. First up, the Roadrunners will welcome Pacific and Cal Poly on Saturday, Apr. 8, to the Barnes Beach Volleyball Complex at the Student Rec Center.

Quotes from Head Coach Cesar Benatti
  • "These games are very important to continue with this pillar of our game which is the consistency. We have been practicing and playing consistently on the basics of the games – passing and setting especially, and that gives us the possibility of implementing new tactical strategies and taking risks on the offensive side of the game."
  • "We just have to continue to focus on our growth and work to become better every day. We are monitoring their stress level in all aspects: physically, mentally and controlling the load of training for these next two weeks."
  • "We have five matches left on the regular season, two of them being direct conference opponents, which gives us a good motivation to get to the tournament playing at our best."
