Ten Roadrunners Earn MPSF All-Academic Honors

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Ten Cal State Bakersfield men's and women's swimming and diving student-athletes were named to the 2022-23 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Teams, as announced by the conference on Monday morning. Six Roadrunner women and four Bakersfield men were recognized for maintaining grade point averages of 3.00 or better, while competing in at least 50% of the team's scheduled events. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must also be at least a sophomore academically and have completed one or more years in residence prior to the 2022-23 campaign.

The `Runner women who picked up academic honors were Danica Aguilar, Chloe Brown, Lorena Jerebic, Hannah Marsh, Mikayla Popham, and Skyler Robinson. All six women were also All-Academic Team honorees in 2021-22.

Popham, who captured an MPSF Championship in the 200 Freestyle, is on pace to graduate with a 3.90 GPA as a psychology major.

Four of the six CSUB women honored earned GPA's better than 3.50. The women's team as a whole carried a cumulative 3.35 grade point average through the Fall 2022 semester.

Christoph Horky, Adrian Paseta, Dillon Smith, and Carter Walles earned All-Academic accolades on the men's side. Paseta and Walles are repeat honorees from the 2021-22 season with Walles leading the squad with a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
