`Runners Down UTEP, Lightning Canceled 2nd Match

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Cal State Bakersfield beach volleyball team was on its way to a 4-0 weekend and a pair of sweeps on Saturday when lightning delays caused a major disruption in play. With the Roadrunners already having banked a 5-0 sweep against UTEP, CSUB was halfway through its match against The Master's University when the weather delays began. The teams were unable to finish play and the second match of the day was ultimately considered incomplete and canceled. Bakersfield officially earned a 3-0 record this weekend and the `Runners improved to 6-1 on the season.
