BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Head Coach Andy Fulenwider announced the 2024 beach volleyball schedule. The Roadrunners host the `Runner Invite at the Barnes Beach Complex this season along with multiple matches throughout the season.
"This season we will be competing against some very talented teams in the Big West and from across the country. We have a lot of new faces on our squad this year and we expect to see continual growth in our performance as the season progresses," said Fulenwider.
The season opener will be played in Tuscon, Ariz. on Feb. 23-24 for the Arizona Invitational. Other teams expected to compete are Boise State, Colorado Mesa, and UTEP.
CSUB starts the month of March on the road in Santa Cruz, Calif. at the Big West/WCC Challenge. Bakersfield is expected to take on Santa Clara, Pacific, and University of Portland.
The `Runners welcome competition at the Barnes Beach Complex on Mar. 8-9 for the `Runner Invite. The two-day tournament will have Sacramento State, UNC Wilmington, and CSUN.
The following weekend on Mar. 16th, Bakersfield will host USF, Concordia Irvine, and Master's University.
CSUB heads back on the road on Mar. 22-24 for The Big West Challenge, every Big West team will take each other on over the three-day tournament.
`Runners stay on the road for a stretch of competition from Mar.26 to Apr. 06 as they head down to SoCal in Northridge, Carlsbad, and Malibu to take on different opponents.
Bakersfield is back at home on Apr. 12 to welcome CSUN for a dual match before ending their final regular season competition in Stockton, Calif. As Pacific welcomes USF and Santa Clara.
Long Beach State will host this year's Big West Championships at the LBCC Beach Volleyball Complex on Apr. 26-27. The NCAA Championships will be in Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 3-5.

Attendance is free for all home matches for Beach Volleyball at the Barnes Beach Volleyball Complex at the Student Rec Center.
