`Runners Head North for Road Dual at Pacific

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Two weeks after opening the dual season with dominant victories against Pomona-Pitzer, the Cal State Bakersfield men's and women's swimming and diving teams are ready to get back in the pool. On Saturday, the Roadrunners will head north to take on the Pacific Tigers in a pair of road duals.

  • On the women's side, Bakersfield enjoyed great performances out of Mikayla Popham, Lorena Jerebic, Chelaine Van der Westhuizen, Kylie Ney, and Hannah Marsh at the team's last dual meet.
  • The `Runner men looked to Arthur Schneider, Vili Sivec, Yigit Saglam, and Dyson Modica to lead the way.
  • The last time CSUB traveled to Stockton to swim against Pacific was on Oct. 26, 2013. The `Runners women fell to the Tigers, 143-119, while the CSUB men dropped a 148-114 decision.
  • The most recent matchup was just last year when the Tigers came to Bakersfield on Nov. 6, 2021. CSUB men (180.5-97.5) and women (184-110) posted convincing victories over Pacific at the Hillman Aquatic Center.
