Rachmadya Hunting Top 10 Spot at Kelsey Chugg Invite

EDEN, Utah – A cold morning gave way to 36 holes of golf at the Kelsey Chugg Invitational on Monday. On Day 1 of the competition at Wolf Creek Golf Course, the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners were led by international transfers Aufa Rachmadya and Jefi Dordevic.

In a field of 60 golfers, Rachmadya finished the first day of action with 157 strokes (80-77, +13), ranked in the Top 20 on the individual leaderboard. The native of Jakarta, Indonesia has plenty of room to make a move as Rachmadya sits just two strokes out of the Top 10.

Dordevic, who hails from Belgrade, Serbia, posted the low round of the day for CSUB when she carded a 76 (+4). The sophomore sits five strokes behind Rachmadya after 36 holes with 162 strokes.

Fellow sophomore Gillian Galicia posted the third lowest total for Bakersfield on Monday, recording her season-low round of 88 on the way to 179 strokes. Christy Mae Saban (88-101-189) rounded out Bakersfield's scoring team in Eden, Utah.

As a team, CSUB finished with 687 strokes (335-352) and sits in ninth place of nine teams.

The `Runners will return to Wolf Creek Golf Course on Tuesday for one final round before trekking back to Bakersfield. A shotgun start at 8 a.m. (PT) will kick off the last 18 holes and fans can follow along via live stats on GolfStat.com.
