CSUB Races Past Pacific, Sweeps Dual Meet

Bakersfield, Calif. – Autumn D'Arcy, Mikayla Popham and Kris Rogic each won three individual swimming events, and Maya Stefanski and Dyson Modica swept the diving boards, as CSU Bakersfield swept a dual meet with visiting Pacific, Saturday afternoon, at the John S. Hillman Aquatic Center.

The Roadrunner women outscored the Tigers 184-110, while the men won by a 180.5-97.5 margin. Both teams improved to 2-0 in dual meet competition this season.

"We continue to handle pressure and adversity well," said CSUB Director of Swimming Chris Hansen. "With a smaller roster we must find depth scoring, and several our student-athletes have stepped up with second, third and fourth-place swims. The longer that list becomes, the more success we'll have this season."

Twenty-four different `Runners grabbed at least one top-three finish, and CSUB won 26 of 32 events in a meet that was never in doubt for either side.

Up Next –
The Roadrunners will travel for the first-time this season, when they make the trek to St. George, Utah, for the Dixie State Invitational on Nov. 18-20. CSUB will be joined at the meet by the host Trailblazers, former WAC rival New Mexico State and a trio of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation opponents, including BYU, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara.

The competition will be held at the Human Performance Center on the Dixie State University campus.
