BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Roadrunner women's golf team opened the Jackrabbit Invitational with two rounds of golf on Monday. Seniors Tori Peers and Ariel Lee led CSU Bakersfield through the first day of competition with a pair of rounds each in the mid 70's.
"It wasn't our best day," said Meghan Thomason, CSUB's Director of Golf. "We need to clean it up on the greens and make better decisions tomorrow. A top-four finish is definitely within reach, so, that will be the goal."
Round 1
Senior Tori Peers led all `Runners with a first-round score of 77 (+5). The native of Grand Island, Neb. carded a pair of birdies, one on the front nine and one on the back nine. Fellow senior Julia Stewart came in two strokes behind Peers after a strong back-nine score of one-over-par.
