Peers Sets New CSUB Single Round Record To Wrap Up GCU Invitational

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The CSU Bakersfield women's golf team wrapped its final day of Grand Canyon Women's Spring Invitational in Arizona for the 54-hole, two-day tournament.

The Roadrunners ended yesterday's 36-holes tied for seventh place with a total of 620 strokes (+44). Today, the CSUB team completed its last 18 holes with 310 strokes (+19) to end the tournament total with 927 stokes (+63) to also hold the second best 54-hole all-time score for the program. Bakersfield tied for ninth place out of 15 teams.

"I'm so happy for Tori," said Meghan Thomason, Head Coach of the `Runners. "She has been working so hard on her putting and for it to finally come together in competition is such a confidence booster to her. I'm happy with the way the team bounced back from a poor second round. We have some work to do before the next one, but we are definitely taking some positives away. "
