MALIBU, Calif.—The CSU Bakersfield beach volleyball team lost 3-2 to Loyola Marymount in the final dual of the Pepperdine Zuma Classic Sunday morning.

The Waves clinched the dual by winning the first three matches at No. 5, No. 1, and No. 4. CSUB got on the board at No. 3 where the duo of Sophie Flemion and Kelsee Sawyer won in three sets. Editha Urias and Jocelyn Rodriguez earned a three-set victory at No. 2 for the final 3-2 score.

The Roadrunners travel to Sacramento State next Saturday for a pair of matches against the Hornets and the University of Washington. Competition begins at 9 a.m.
