MALIBU, Calif.—The CSU Bakersfield beach volleyball team dropped a pair of matches to nationally ranked foes at the Pepperdine Zuma Classic Saturday.
No. 1 Pepperdine (12-1) defeated the Roadrunners 5-0. The Waves held the Roadrunners to single digit points in seven of the 10 sets that were played. The day concluded with a 5-0 loss to No. 6 Arizona (8-2). The closest match came at No. 5 where Katie Dunbar-Lowe and Amanda Schoene lost 21-12, 21-5 to Hailey Devlin and MacKenzie Kleespies.
The tournament concludes Sunday when CSUB (2-10) plays Loyola Marymount at 11:15 a.m.
