BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The CSU Bakersfield men's golf team will continue its spring season with a trip to St. George, Utah for the Pizza Hut-Pat Hicks Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole tournament hosted by Southern Utah will take place Feb. 8-9 at the Sunbrook Golf Course.
“We are looking forward to playing at Sunbrook this coming week,” said Meggan Bunker, head coach of the Roadrunners. “After the rough conditions at Riverside's tournament, we are ready to play another tournament and shoot low scores, focusing on finishing strong. The guys are in good spirits and are ready to play great golf this next week.”
Tough conditions in Beaumont, Calif. during the UC Riverside Braveheart Classic gave the 'Runners trouble two weeks ago. CSUB is looking to rebound in St. George and will have three rounds to adjust to the Sunbrook course and bring scores down.
CSUB had a practice round on Sunday, Feb. 7, before kicking off the first of three rounds on Monday. Live stats will be available at GolfStat and a full recap will be posted here at the end of each day of competition.
