SIMI VALLEY, Calif.--Freshman Trevor Stan (Mission Viejo, Calif., Bakersfield Liberty HS) shot a second round 69 to lead the Bakersfield men's golf team at the Bill Cullum Invitational Oct. 21-22.
36-hole play was suspended Monday due to darkness with the field of over 100 golfers completing play on Tuesday morning. Stan opened play with a 74 before following it up his season best score in round two. He slipped slightly in the third round shooting an 83 to place 60th. Daniel Chian of Long Beach State was the medalist (206, -10)
Dylan Lym (Jr., Evanston, Wyo., Evanston HS) posted a 54-hole total of 237. Lym finished 93rd.
Jin Park (R-Jr., Burbank, Calif., Glendale CC) came in 104th (245).
Brett Kettler (R-Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Liberty HS) was 105th (249).
Matthew Deford (Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield College) placed 106th (256).
The Roadrunners finished 20th with a two-day tally of 955. Cal State Fullerton (849) was the team champion.
The Bill Cullum Invitational concluded the Fall portion of the schedule for the 'Runner men. The Spring slate gets underway Feb. 10-11, 2014 at Western Illinois' Invitational which will be played in San Diego at Carton Oaks CC.
