After nearly three weeks off from competition, the CSU
Bakersfield men's golf team will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday in the
University of San Francisco's annual Triumph at Pauma Valley golf tournament at
Pauma Valley Country Club, located 50 miles northeast in San Diego, Calif.
The 54-hole tournament will begin with 36 holes on Monday
and the final round of 18 on Tuesday. The field includes the host Dons, CSUB,
Central Arkansas, Austin Peay, Columbia, Yale, Bowling Green, British Columbia,
CSU San Marcos, Army and University of Manitoba.
In the 'Runners' last tournament, the Folino Invitational
hosted by Cal State Fullerton Feb. 19-20, CSUB finished in ninth place in the
team standings. Patrick Bell (Jr., Manchester, England, Reedley College) turned
in the lowest CSUB score at the Folino Invitational by tying for 31st
place with a three-round score over 232 at Industry Hills Golf Course.
