SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The CSUB men's golf team opened its season on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Hunter Ranch GC. The Roadrunners fell to Cal Poly in a dual match, 290-298.

Juniors Levi Garcia and Kyle Morrison each shot 73 to lead the Roadrunners. Sophomore Jason Errecart was one behind, carding a 74 while junior James Moseley shot a 78.

"There were a couple of bright spots for us today," Head Coach Dave Barber said. "For not playing a practice round, I was very pleased with our results. I think we got rid of some of the rust and playing a round like this before heading to our first big tournament was a good way to transition into the season. It was very windy throughout the round and it really made it difficult."

The Roadrunners will compete at the Purple and White Invitational at the Valley View GC beginning on Monday, Sept. 28. The two day invitational is being hosted by the University of Utah.
