ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. - The CSUB men's golf team finished the final round with a combined score of 309 Friday to playce 10th in the Cal Poly Invitational at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande, Calif. British Columbia University won the event after firing a team 280 in the third round to finish with a total of 873, 10 shots better than host Cal Poly who placed second. No team finished under-par for the three-round event. Scott DeBorba of Sacramento State won the event with a score of 210.
Adam Frey was the top Roadrunner finisher, tying for 23rd with a 226. Kyle Morrison birdies the final three holes to card CSUB's low round of the day with a 74 as he tied for 30th. James Moseley, who played as an individual, fired a third-round 79 to tie for 19th place.
"We are capable of playing much better than we played this tournament," Head Coach Dave Barber said. "Morrison finishing with his birdies was a bright spot but we are going to have to practice hard for our next tournament."
The 'Runners return to action on April 6-7 when they play against the University of Colorado.
