Kegley Center for Student Success

The Kegley Center for Student Success opened doors to students in the Fall of 2016.  Namesake, Dr. Jacquelyn Kegley, along with campus and community dignitaries, officially opened the facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in January 2017.  Dr. Kegley is  a professor of Philosophy, former Faculty Athletics Representative, former Chair of the University Academic Senate, and CSUB Athletics benefactor.

The original Kegley Center was a 1,500-square-foot location containing one computer lab that doubled as a group tutoring space.  The new Kegley Center location (former dining commons) includes more than 7,000-square-feet of study and tutoring areas, two large computer labs, and academic support resources for CSUB student-athletes. The facility, the cornerstone of the NCAA Accelerated Academic Success Program Grant awarded to CSUB, was funded by both the grant and the philanthropy of Dr. Jacquelyn Kegley.
