Barnes Inks Veteran Guard Cameron Wilbon to Squad

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The CSU Bakersfield men's basketball program has welcomed another experienced guard as Head Coach Rod Barnes announced the addition of Cameron Wilbon to the squad on Thursday. Wilbon will be graduating from Sacramento State this spring before transferring to CSUB to play his final season as a Roadrunner.

  • Competed at Sacramento State the last two seasons
    • In 2022-23, played in all 32 games for the Hornets and averaged 8.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists a game
    • The year prior, started in 26 of 27 games played, averaging 9.1 points, 5.1 boards, and 1.2 steals a contest
  • Spent three seasons at Robert Morris (Horizon League), including a redshirt year
    • In two active seasons, played in 51 games, averaging 4.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game
  • Played a prep year at Bosco Institute in Crown Point, Ind.
  • A 2017 graduate of Merrillville High School in Merrillville, Ind.
    • Earned All-State and All-Area as both a junior and senior
    • Averaged 16.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists a game as a senior
